1. Information We Collect
VoyagerCheck collects limited information to provide the visa checker and travel guides:
- Search Queries: Passport and destination country selections you make
- Usage Data: Pages visited, time spent, and interaction patterns, subject to the relevant analytics settings
- Technical Data: request IP used for processing and geolocation; operational search records can include an IP hash and network prefix, browser, device and referrer information
- Cookies: Consent, analytics and affiliate-referral cookies (see Cookie Policy)
- Contact / Advertise forms: If you submit a form or email us, we retain your name, email and message so we can reply
The visa checker asks for passport nationality, not a passport number or a personal identity document. Contact and advertising enquiries can contain the personal contact information you choose to submit.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide visa requirement information based on your queries
- Cache results to improve performance and reduce API usage
- Analyse usage patterns to improve the site (Google Analytics, according to the selected settings)
- Detect and prevent technical issues or abuse
- Respond to enquiries submitted through the Contact or Advertise forms
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms
VoyagerCheck does not run Google AdSense or any programmatic advertising, and does not sell or share your personal data with advertisers.
3. Data Storage and Security
Visa-result cache entries normally expire for refresh after 30 days. Operational search and link-click records are separate and are not deleted when a cached visa result expires. Contact us about data access or deletion requests. We implement reasonable security measures to protect data, but no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.
4. Third-Party Services
VoyagerCheck integrates with a small number of third-party services:
- Google Analytics: Website usage analytics, governed by Google’s processing policies and the selected consent settings
- Cloudflare Turnstile: CAPTCHA replacement used on Contact and Advertise forms
- VoyagerCheck’s self-hosted Supabase backend: Backend database, edge functions and form processing
- Mailjet: Transactional email delivery for form responses
- Geolocation: Search requests may send the request IP to ipapi.co or ip-api.com to estimate location; search records keep a hash or network prefix rather than a full stored IP address.
- Visa Requirement APIs: External data sources for visa information
- Affiliate partners: When you click an affiliate link, the partner may set its own cookies to attribute the referral (see Cookie Policy)

Link click analytics
If you accept analytics, we record clicks on public internal and external links, including ET2Sim affiliate links. We store the source page path, destination host and path, link category, event time and a random event ID used to prevent duplicate submissions. We exclude query strings, fragments, link text, IP addresses, user agents and persistent visitor identifiers from these click events. We respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control for this feature. We use aggregate counts to understand which content and referrals are useful; clicks do not tell us whether you made a purchase. This is separate from operational visa-search records.
6. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do NOT sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties except:
- With service providers (Google Analytics, Cloudflare, Supabase, Mailjet) as described above
- When required by law or legal process
- To protect our rights, property, or safety
- In connection with business transfers or acquisitions
7. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than Australia. Service providers may process data under different data protection laws; see the provider policies linked above.
8. Privacy Requests
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information
- Opt-out of analytics and advertising cookies
- Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority
- Withdraw consent at any time (for EU residents)

9. Children's Privacy
VoyagerCheck is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child, we will take steps to delete it promptly.
