Use the provincial government portal

The official FAQ is at lovebali.baliprov.go.id/faq. It describes cashless payment, including payment before departure, and an emailed voucher containing a QR code. It also describes airport, port and registered payment points. Read those current instructions rather than relying on the earlier claim on this page that arrivals had no payment counter.

Keep the levy and visa tasks separate

Make two entries on your departure checklist: Indonesian entry permission, and the Bali tourist levy. Completing one does not complete the other. Check entry requirements for your own passport and purpose of travel with Indonesian immigration. Save each confirmation under a clear name so that you can find the correct document when asked.

Check exemptions directly

The official FAQ lists specific exempt visa and permit categories and explains that some require an application through Love Bali. Do not infer an exemption from your age, the length of a visit or a previous payment. Check the published category and required process before deciding not to pay.

A practical payment checklist

• Open the official government portal yourself and verify the domain before entering passport or payment details.
• Check the live fee, eligibility and payment instructions for every traveller.
• Use an email address you can access while travelling and verify that the voucher arrives.
• Save the QR voucher for offline access and keep the payment record separately.
• If you have a payment problem, use the official support route rather than paying a second site to fix it.
